Dr. Wainwright has been involved over may years with a variety of projects that focus on the experiences of children with a diagnosis of ASD and their families. Resent work includes looking at the experiences of mothers who may or may not experience stigma as a parent as a result of their child's diagnosis. She also has looked at a variety of characteristics of school age children with ASD that may represent strengths in their profile, including visual scanning abilities. She joined our faculty in 1996 and taught the Physiological Psychology course until the fall of 2013. She now serves as a methodological and statistical consultant for Clinical PsyD students' doctoral projects Dr. Wainwright is also a faculty member at the University of Massachusetts at Boston.
