Dr. Monica Roizner received her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston University. She is a licensed psychologist with experience in child and family mental health, trauma, child sexual abuse and domestic violence, cultural competence and women’s issues. She has worked in a number of community outpatient settings providing trauma evaluations and therapeutic services and as a consultant to local and national organizations. Since 2003 she has been the Director of Clinical Services for the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC). Her experience has included the implementation of post-graduate training for staff, quality improvement activities, program design, program development, and participation in compliance and credentialing activities. Dr. Roizner spearheaded transitions and capacity-building steps to provide new programs and services, including the implementation of Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) services and evidence-based treatments for the treatment of trauma, disruptive behaviors, childhood depression and anxiety.
