Clinical Psychology PsyD
Class of 2016
Hi! I'm a student in the Clinical Psychology PsyD program at William James College. I came to William James College after serving in the US Army and Massachusetts National Guard for 6 years. Since I arrived here, I've become involved in Train Vets to Treat Vets, a student-developed program that aims to encourage veterans to enter the mental health field. William James College has been extremely supportive of this program while also giving me the opportunity to explore interests outside of veterans' mental health.
I chose William James College because it gave me the chance to work with clients from the very beginning of my training—admittedly, an intimidating prospect when I first arrived! I would encourage new students to take advantage of the broad array of placements available during their time here. I've been able to work with at-risk elders, provide individual therapy to individuals with major mental illness, and conduct psychological testing in my field placements.
As I look towards the end of my training, I am interested in focusing back on veterans' issues within the VA system. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
