ORG ST500 - Foundations of Organizational Development

This course equips the student with the fundamental understanding of organizational structure, process, behavior, rules, roles and functions. It focuses on organizational change in today’s fast paced, high-tech, and global environment. The context, era, and principles upon which companies were founded will also be considered. These constructs are examined with regard to how they support or hinder achieving an organization’s mission. Factors involved in planning and executing changes in organizational structure systems and dynamics are considered. The design of systems and subsystems, and how they impact human behavior, is also covered. Pre-requisite: GR600.
