Education Delivery Model
William James College’s MA in Organizational Psychology programs are “Blended” which includes both online and on-campus study and online only. Each course is 3 credits and 6 weeks in length and include:
- Online modules with readings, papers, lectures, and discussion forums
- One on-campus experiential weekend-in-residence (WIR) per course that meets for a full Saturday and Sunday* (for the Blended program only)
- “LIVE” distance learning lectures*
- Concurrent field placement course and field project
*REQUIRED: Please see scheduled dates on Curriculum and Class Schedule webpage.
For the Blended program the on-campus requirement for this program is typically once every 6 weeks, so students who do not live within commuting distance to William James College are expected to make travel arrangements accordingly.
“Learning in an applied program is the best way to internalize the work of organizational development (OD) at a deep level. The use of case study supports the application of OD principles to real world settings. Additionally, the organizations that serve as field sites, become petri dishes in which our student interns can see, first hand, how the theories they are learning in class play out. As such, learning in our program is very dynamic and focused on understanding the challenges organizations face today.”
