A Message from the  Organizational and Leadership Psychology Programs

Kathryn StanleyDear Incoming Students,

Welcome to the Organizational and Leadership Psychology programs at William James College.  Your choice to make the time and financial commitment to furthering your studies is a dedication that the faculty and I at William James College recognize and commend you upon.

The 21st century is filled with environmental, political, economic, and social challenges that need your intervention. You will be working with a talented peer group and faculty to understand how best to manage these changes.  This period of time is an opportunity for you to think about who you are, how you are, and in what manner you will deploy yourself as an agent in creating constructive organizational and social change.

Some of the greatest educational experiences come from the talents and experiences of your peer group.  Do make time to think with them about the theory and practice in which you will engage. As you move forward with your coursework, you will find immediate application of the theory to practice within your  Field Placement.  I advise you to challenge yourself to move out of your areas of comfort and explore new personal and professional aspects of yourself that will make you more competent to change and to lead.  Please feel free to contact me at kathryn_stanley@williamjames.edu.

Sincerely yours,

Kathryn Stanley, PhD
