Class of 2022

Greetings!

My name is Adam Lurie and I am a student in the Clinical Psychology PsyD program at William James College. I am originally from Stoughton, MA, but went to school in Washington, DC before returning to Massachusetts for grad school.

I chose William James College because I wanted to do hands on work and William James’ commitment to field education was a great opportunity to get into the field on day 1.

I am currently involved with the Academic Councils Engaging Students (ACES) program and the Office of Research at William James. My main initiatives for this year are increasing accessibility to the school and working to get mental health services provided for students.

My career goals are to become a therapist and eventually open a clinic that provides preventative mental healthcare.

Some advice I would offer to new students would be to get to know your professors. They’re all available by email at the very least, and they are great resources for augmenting your field experience.
