I joined the William James community with 22 years of experience in recruitment, talent development, coaching and leading teams in the private, public, and non-profit sectors. I have been working as a career transition and leadership coach for the past 12 years in private practice and also work at UC Berkeley where I coach mid-career, executive students in making big transitions with clarity, confidence and courage. My goal is to demystify the transition process, and provide a safe space for diverse clients to explore and grow. I also work with leaders to increase their self-efficacy and confidence in leading teams, navigating complex change management situations, and practicing behaviors consistent with authentic leadership. I am a certified Health and Wellness Coach, Ombudsman, and hold a B.A. in Theater Arts Performance from San Francisco State University. I also love to dance and was trained in classical ballet with the Royal Academy of Dance.
I plan to use my degree to strengthen my work as a coach, and expand and deepen the ways in which I support clients. I am especially interested in how mental health plays a role in career satisfaction and personal effectiveness of diverse populations.
I was attracted to William James College for its focus on diversity and inclusion, the accessibility of the faculty and flexibility of the online program. After being out of school for so many years, I was a little nervous about the learning curve, but have found the WJC faculty, cohort and community to be so welcoming and supportive. If you are mid-career and wondering if you can do this, you can!
I welcome a conversation to learn more about your background and answer any questions you have about the program!
