SCH FP723 - Practicum in Consultation
This field work experience follows completion of the Consultation in Schools course. Students are closely supervised as they undertake consultation activities in school settings, or in clinical settings that engage in school consultations. Students will propose and implement a consultation intervention using different models such as mental health, behavioral, instructional and/or systems/organizational, appropriate to the referral issue. Use of a multi step process demonstrating advanced understanding of theory and practice is required. Particular emphasis on ethical and diversity issues within an indirect model will be emphasized. Pre-requisite: CO 750. Open only to students in the doctoral program in School Psychology.
