Substance Use Disorders

“Relationships and social networks that provide support, friendship, love, and hope” is one of four dimensions of recovery from tobacco, alcohol, marijuana and other drugs, according the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

Addiction thrives in isolation, so take advantage of opportunities, or encourage others, to maintain connections and community. People in recovery or struggling with problems as a result of substance use disorder can find ways to access support and help online as well.
