In mid-June, the double-board certified psychiatrist was one of three honorary degree recipients at the 2025 Commencement Ceremony; last month, the chief medical officer of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) came to campus to share his insights on mental health leadership and advocacy gleaned over the course of his career (including more than two decades at NAMI) and rooted in lived experience.
