The Newton Beacon announced the addition of two new William James College board members, Sharon Shapiro from Brookline and Dr. Michael Jellinek from Newton. Shapiro, a registered dietician, brings her experience from long-term care facilities and her role as trustee and community liaison at the Ruderman Family Foundation. She has multiple degrees in psychology and nutrition and has contributed to significant publications on student leave of absence. Dr. Jellinek, a seasoned physician and former chief of child psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital, founded Ulysses Consulting, LLC, and co-developed the Pediatric Symptom Checklist. With extensive experience in hospital administration and leadership, he has authored numerous publications and led major projects, including the construction of the Yawkey Ambulatory Center.
