Seriously now, what’s so traumatic about turning 40?
Instead of fearing it and dwelling on regrets, let’s embrace it.
Robin Deutsch, Director of the Center of Excellence for Children, Families and the Law at William James College was quoted in The Boston Globe Magazine about the psychological benefits of turning 40. “Now is the time to make new decisions and choices that work for who they are today, putting aside old expectations,” she said. Deutsch encourages women to embrace their middle ages citing, “women who have reached 40 tend to be more confident.”
