Dr. Sarah Abbott is internationally known for her work at the intersection of law enforcement and people in crisis and for her role in developing one of the earliest co-responder models in the United States.William James College has launched the the William James College Center for Crisis Response and Behavioral Health. Dr. Sarah Abbott will serve as its inaugural director. The center will be the first practical training program housed within an academic institution designed to provide frontline responders, including police, fire, EMTs, and clinicians alike, mental health and substance use-related crisis response training.
