This introductory leadership and professional seminar course examines the psychological factors that influence and foster the development of effective (and problematic) leadership efforts in a variety of settings. The complexities of modern leadership and followership are examined using the lenses of leadership theorists and up-to-date peer-reviewed research studies. The interplay of psychological and leadership interventions is considered in relation to the leadership-followership dynamic, transition and crisis response in systems, as is the utilization of consultation to foster change.
