Respecialization Certificate in Couples and Family Therapy Student Outcomes
Retention Rate
The Respecialization Certificate in Couples and Family Therapy program is a new program. The one-year retention rate for those entering the program in Fall 2021 will be calculated in Fall 2022.
Methodology: Retention rate is calculated as new students who enrolled in a Fall term of one academic year and came back the subsequent Fall term, e.g. retention rate = (Fall 2018)/(Fall 2017). When the program length is one year or less, semester to semester retention is calculated, e.g., retention rate = (Spring 2019)/(Fall 2018).
Graduation Rate and Time to Degree
The Respecialization Certificate in Couples and Family Therapy program length is 2.5 years. This program is new, and the first graduate will be in August 2022.
Methodology: Time to degree in months is calculated by subtracting start date of the student from the date the degree was completed or conferred and reported in average months. 150% Graduation rate is calculated for full-time and part-time students combined; The 150% graduation rate is calculated by taking students who enrolled in Fall and Spring terms of one academic year (starting cohort) and graduated within 150% of the program length, e.g., 3.5 years.
Licensure
The Respecialization Certificate in Couples and Family Therapy program leads to the Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). After completion of the certificate and passing the National MFT examination graduates needs two years of supervised experience.
