Concentrations and Focused Study

Concentrations

Concentrations for your career. Education for a lifetime.

Choose from a range of concentrations, and elevate to your greatest potential.

Program-Specific Concentrations

Unique to each academic degree program, these concentrations give you the opportunity to focus your learning on an area within the field of psychology. Your concentration courses and fieldwork will provide you with a deep level of knowledge and experience in your area of interest and lay a strong foundation for your future career path.

College-Wide Concentrations

Available to students in many WJC graduate programs, our college-wide concentrations will train you to be a culturally responsive provider to diverse and vulnerable populations and prepare you to meet the great need for skilled professionals with the competence and compassion to make a difference in underserved communities.

The Choice Is Yours

You can enroll in both a program-specific concentration and college-wide concentration, or no concentration at all. Your journey is your own.

For Current Students: If you did not enroll in a concentration at the time of application, please fill out the Declaration of Concentration form and return it to the Registrar and submit a copy to the Concentration Director.
