This course explores the historical and contemporary aspects of personal difference, inclusion, and understanding between individuals from different cultures and subcultures. While race, gender, and ethnicity will be explored, the course expands on the traditional concepts of diversity to include disability and discrimination in the workplace. The goal of the course is to help students become effective at facilitating groups in leveraging the power of difference, inclusion, and respect. Pre-requisite: ST 501.
