Negotiation and conflict resolution skills are vital to students’ future success as leaders and consultants in an increasingly complex and diverse world. This course introduces students to key perspectives and approaches for understanding conflict, including recognizing how their own lived experience shapes their negotiation style. Students will build awareness of their personal strengths, learn foundational tools for navigating disagreements, and practice applying these skills through selected experiential activities. Emphasis is placed on fostering open, productive dialogue and challenging assumptions so that differing viewpoints can be heard and more thoughtful solutions can emerge.
