Kelly Casey, PhD graduated from the California School of Professional Psychology in 2007 with a PhD in clinical psychology and a focus in forensics. She completed an APA internship in adult forensic and clinical psychology at Dorothea Dix Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. She went on to do a post-doctoral fellowship in juvenile forensic psychology at Massachusetts General Hospital. She stayed with MGH following the completion of her fellowship as a staff psychologist, where she divided her time between the Boston Juvenile Court Clinic and the Children and the Law Probate program. During that time, she developed a specialty in juvenile sexual risk assessments, neuropsychological testing and competence to stand trial evaluations. In 2012, Dr. Casey became the training director of the MGH juvenile forensic fellowship program and began working as a consultant for MGH’s Law and Psychiatry program doing risk assessments and psychological testing evaluations with adults, including assessments of cognitive decline and dementia. She continued in that position until July 2014, when she left MGH to become the Executive Director of the Brenner Center at William James College. In 2022, Dr. Casey became the Managing Director of Clinical and Forensic Services at William James College, overseeing multiple service programs, as well as the Executive Director of the Brenner Assessment & Consultation Center.
