Tanya Snyder, MEd, LMHC, serves as the Co-Director of the INTERFACE Referral Service at William James College, where she has been a dedicated member of the team since 2016. She holds a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Springfield College and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Tanya has provided direct clinical care to individuals across the lifespan since 1997, working in a wide range of settings and taking on numerous leadership roles within mental health organizations. She has coauthored clinical workbooks and presented at both local and national conferences. She has a strong professional passion for preventing sexual violence and proudly serves on the Board of MASOC, as well as a Clinical Member of ATSA. In her current role with INTERFACE, Tanya provides training and education to community partners, contributes to program development, and supervises INTERFACE Resource and Referral Counselors. She is deeply committed to improving access to mental health care and believes that meaningful therapeutic relationships, built on a great fit between consumer and provider, are essential to the change process. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying out new restaurants, exploring, learning new things, listening to live music, and reading.
