Amdria Aristil, MA, is a fourth-year clinical psychology doctoral student at William James College. She earned her master's in clinical mental health counseling from William James College with an area of emphasis in Couples and Family Therapy and African and Caribbean Mental Health. Ms. Aristil has worked in a variety of settings with children and families including in-home therapy, both public and therapeutic schools, residential treatment, and mobile crisis settings. She has experience with individuals who have anxiety, depression, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), conduct disorder, and trauma related disorders. Ms. Aristil uses a strength-based approach as she implements evidence-based practices, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectic-behavioral therapy, and solution focused therapy. Her goal is to help children and families become more effective in communication, managing difficult situations and challenging emotions, while maintaining a healthy and supportive environment.
