A Dutch Caribbean woman born and raised in St. Maarten and St. Thomas, Darleni Vlaun Medina came to the United States in 2010 with less than $800 to her name. As a first-generation student, her passions are grounded in closing the socioeconomic gap and systemic barriers that preserve generational oppression. Professionally, she aims to provide education in all forms - mentoring, teaching, emotional coaching, and individual therapy. Her vast experiences in the field of mental health have focused on Strength Based and Positive Psychology. Darleni’s biggest motivations are her mother, husband, and daughter. She strives to be the best version of herself in order to be an advocate for her family.
