Maryanne Chow is the Manager of Clinical Training in the Center for Workforce Development (CWD) where she provides administrative oversight of several CWD programs, including the Behavioral Health Service Corps, the Leadership in Community Behavioral Health Fellowship, and the Massachusetts General Brigham grant funds. Maryanne holds a master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She has an extensive clinical background in working with individuals and families and managing serious mental health challenges within marginalized and underrepresented communities. Before joining Willam James College, Maryanne was a case manager for Child, Youth, and Family Services at the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. This role allowed her to provide comprehensive assessments of level of care and risk management services; develop personalized service plans to achieve treatment goals; and collaborate with families, providers, and collaterals to facilitate care coordination. Maryanne brings her extensive training and experience in trauma-informed practices, risk assessment, diversity and inclusion, and safety and healing practices to the WJC community. Maryanne has a passion for breaking stigma and stereotypes in mental health and is willing to challenge systemic barriers to improve access to mental health services and resources for individuals and families from all walks of life. In her free time, Maryanne loves practicing yoga, traveling, and listening to music; and is a big foodie.
