I was born 29 years ago in Hungary, so in my younger years, it was unimaginable for me to leave my beloved country; however, after I completed high school, my adventurous spirit, took me to the United Arab Emirates, where I began my post-secondary education in Abu Dhabi. From there, I moved to the U.S., where I finished my bachelor’s degree in psychology. I live in Washington, D.C., and am pursuing a master’s degree in psychology in WJC’s MAP program. I chose WJC because it offers its MAP program in a full-time format that can be completed in a year. It was important for me to find an accelerated program on route to deciding about my doctoral education. WJC also enjoys an excellent reputation within the psychology community. I am a member of the WJC chapter of Psi Chi, The International Honor Society in Psychology. I am interested in pursuing a PhD to become a clinical psychologist. I speak Hungarian, English, and a bit of French. My mother tongue helps me write in a picturesque way that colors my written academic materials. I advise first-year students to learn effective time management and always put their unique self into their academic work. Pursuing the MAP program full-time is possible even if one has a full-time job simultaneously, as I do. However, this endeavor requires you to develop time management skills that are fine-tuned to your goals, needs, and desires. Remember, your lived experiences shape who you are. Let that richness and diversity enhance your schoolwork. Should you require more information from me, I am happy to chat with you anytime.
