Class of 2026

Hi everyone, my name is Emilee Meltzer and I’m in the MA/CAGS School Psychology program at William James College! I’m originally from Long Island, New York and I completed my undergrad at the University of Pittsburgh. After I graduated, I was conflicted about the best route to take for a potential career. I knew I was interested in the education system, psychology, and working with children, which led me to school psychology! I started my search for the best educational fit; I landed on William James College due to the small class size, first-year fieldwork opportunities, and the community feel. Coming from a large university, I was nervous about the small class environment, but this is one of my favorite things about WJC. I immediately felt connected to every student as well as all my professors. Every faculty member strives to provide applicable information for every program and field of study. What stood out to me the most was not the plethora of knowledge every professor has, but the deep care and empathy held for all students. I am wholeheartedly supported by all my professors and peers, which is a feeling I lacked in undergrad due to the size of the school. If you’re contemplating coming to WJC, be confident you will be involved in a diverse, enriching, and inspiring place!!
