Hi everyone! My name is Megan Mahoney and I am a first-year student in the School Psychology MA/CAGS program. I am originally from Colchester, CT and moved to the Boston area to attend Northeastern University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I grew passionate about working with children and adolescents from my experiences working at a residential treatment program as well as volunteering in Boston Public Schools. I found the field of school psychology through my work in schools, conversations with professors, and my own research and knew it was a perfect fit for me.

When I was choosing a graduate program to pursue, William James College stood out due to their field education program beginning in the very first year. I also appreciated the strong emphasis on community during my interview and application process. After starting the program, I am so glad I made the choice to come to William James. I have already learned so much, not only in the classroom, but also from my experiences at my field placement. Additionally, I feel so supported by all of the professors, advisors, and the fellow students in my cohort. Coming from an incredibly large undergraduate program, I feel so much more supported and included in the community due to the smaller class size as well.

If you have any questions about William James College and the school psychology program, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I am happy to answer questions and help in any way that I can!
