Class of 2026

My name is Mykala Robateau-Goods, and I was born and raised in Boston, MA. I graduated from Salem State University in Spring 2022, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Social Work.

I am currently serving as a scholar with the Behavioral Health Service Corps (BHSC) at William James College — a paid, year-long service and learning opportunity for recent graduates interested in the behavioral health field. Through BHSC, I gain hands-on experience in behavioral healthcare, take graduate-level coursework toward a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and receive professional mentorship from experienced clinicians. The program allows me to develop both personally and professionally while engaging with diverse populations and communities in need of accessible mental health support.

I chose to join BHSC because it offers the perfect balance between continued education and meaningful work experience. My time in the program has strengthened my passion for mental health advocacy and reinforced my goal of pursuing a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. Ultimately, I aspire to become a licensed mental health counselor and provide compassionate, culturally competent care to individuals from all walks of life.
