My name is Viktoria Worthen-Sluz and I am a full-time student in the School Psychology MA/CAGS program at William James. I graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.S in Psychology and a minor in Special Education. I recently moved back to my hometown of Stoneham, MA after living in Burlington, VT for the past few years.
One thing I was looking for while applying to graduate schools was a small, close-knit community that offered a lot of hands-on experience. I love that I am able to be in the field at my practicum site the first week of classes! I also appreciate the small classes/cohorts that encourage connecting and building relationships with your peers and faculty.
My advice to new students would be to invest in a good planner! This has really helped me to plan my weeks and keep track of upcoming events and assignments without feeling too overwhelmed. It is also really helpful to know the faculty will support us and work with us whenever we find ourselves needing a little bit of extra help. 😊
Please feel free to reach out with any questions and best of luck with this exciting new journey!
