The Irish International Immigration Center (IIIC) in Boston is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year. As part of the celebration Michelle Harris, MA, faculty in the Expressive Arts Therapy program, began collaborating with their community with a Collaborative Quilt. At the latest Cross-Cultural Event to celebrate National Welcoming Week, a nationwide event that highlights the contributions of immigrants to American communities, participants from Haiti, Iraq, Venezuela, Ireland, and Israel, all contributed artwork. In the pictures, one can see the quilt with some of the community members in action!
