Which Admissions Event is Right for Me?

Choosing a college is a big decision. So, how do you figure out which program is right for you? Our admissions team hosts various events throughout the year to help you get to know William James College and ask any questions you may have. While you are welcome at all of our events, we know your time may be limited. Our admissions team put together some information about each of our events so you can decide which one (or ones!) are right for you.

Online Information Session

  • Time: 45 minutes to one hour
  • Location: Online

We host many online information sessions throughout the year where you will hear from our faculty and admissions. You will get an overview of our program, career outlook, and application requirements while also having ample time to ask questions in real time. Our online information sessions are a great option to virtually explore programs at WJC during your lunch break or in the evening.

Friday Visit Day

  • Time: One hour
  • Location: William James College campus

One Friday a month, our admissions team hosts a campus visit day where you can drop by to chat with an admissions counselor and get a tour of our campus. Tours start at 10:00 AM or 2:00 PM to give you the flexibility of choosing between the morning or the afternoon. The Friday Visit Days are a great option to explore William James College in person without having to dedicate a full day or entire evening.

Open House

  • Time: Approximately three hours
  • Location: William James College campus or online

Each Fall, our admissions team hosts a number of Open House events. We offer both on-campus and virtual options where you can get an in-depth experience of life as a William James College student. You will hear from many representatives across campus including faculty, admissions, academic affairs, dean of students, President Covino, and more. Our Open House will also give you the opportunity to tour campus (during our in-person event) and meet other students who are interested in the program.

This event is popular for students just starting to explore William James, those who are working on their application or have already applied, as well as students who have already been admitted to WJC. 

Virtual Coffee Hour

  • Time: One hour
  • Location: Online

Some of our programs also host drop-in coffee hours online. These events are good opportunities to meet faculty members and others interested in the program. You will not only discuss William James College, but also what career options exist, hot topics in the field, and much more. If you’re looking for a casual event where you can chat with faculty and ask questions, our virtual coffee hours might be a good choice for you. 

1/1 Phone Consultations

  • Time: 30 minutes
  • Location: Phone

If you would rather have a more in-depth conversation with an admissions counselor, consider signing up for a 1/1 phone consultation. These 30-minute sessions allow you to drive the conversation and talk in more detail than you might get during one of our other events. Our admissions counselors will be able to answer any questions you have about the program, the College, the application, and more.
