Hi! My name is Anna Filoso, and I am originally from Indianapolis, Indiana where I lived until I started at William James College in the Clinical Psychology PsyD program. I started my academic journey at Indiana University and recently graduated in 2024 with bachelor's degrees in criminal justice and psychology and then again in 2025 with a master’s degree in criminal justice. At William James College I plan to enter into the forensics concentration for my second year to align with my interests in correctional psychology and forensic assessment.
I am currently volunteering at the Indiana Innocence Project (INIP) doing remote case review for those applying for legal representation. This organization, partnered through Indiana University, provides pro-bono legal aid to those who have been wrongfully incarcerated in the state. At William James College I also serve in the Academic Councils Engaging Students (ACES) as a part of their Inclusivity Committee where I work on inclusivity related social events, advocacy and more.
I chose William James College because of its internship opportunity and forensic concentration with faculty that are experts in their field. The best advice I can give to new students is to put yourself out there and participate in as much as you can whenever you can. You are only going to get busier; the best time to make connections is now! WJC has a wealth of resources and amazing students to connect you to; you just have to ask. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions you may have!
