This course provides an overview of theoretical bases, underlying principles and practice guidelines of executive coaching. Each student will evaluate him/herself against a set of core competencies and styles to help identify individualized professional development goals as a professional executive coach. The course covers the following topics: theoretical approaches to individual and organizational learning and change; professional ethics, integrity, and judgment; confidentiality; the coaching process; goal setting; and selecting a combination of coaching techniques to address the unique needs of individual coaching situations. Pre-requisite: EC521.
