Taylor Matthews, MA, is a fourth-year Clinical Psychology doctoral student at William James College. She holds a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she graduated as a Commonwealth Honors College scholar. Ms. Matthews has extensive experience working with children and families across diverse settings, including public schools, integrative care, and private practice. Her therapeutic approach incorporates various modalities and frameworks such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Exposure Therapy. Ms. Matthews specializes in treating children and young adults, from early childhood through college age, who present with a range of challenges including anxiety disorders, depression, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), complicated grief, and trauma-related disorders. She employs a collaborative and integrative therapeutic style with an emphasis on fostering the client’s deeper understanding of self and others, while aiming to achieve goals and improve functional impairments for optimal well-being.
