Dr. Catherine Vuky Elected Distinguished Fellow of the National Academies of Practice
Dr. Catherine Vuky, Director of the Asian Mental Health Program and Assistant Professor at William James College, has been elected as a Distinguished Fellow of the National Academies of Practice. She was inducted into the Psychology Academy during the Annual Induction Banquet and Awards Ceremony held in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
Founded in 1981, the National Academies of Practice (NAP) advances interprofessional education, scholarship, research, practice, and public policy. NAP educates and informs healthcare practitioners; recruits, engages, retains, and mentors members; facilitates collaborative scholarship and research; and promotes the value of interprofessional practice to improve healthcare for all. The NAP Academies include Athletic Training, Audiology, Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Oral Health, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Physician, Podiatric Medicine, Psychology, Public Health, Respiratory Care, Social Work, Speech-Language Pathology, and Veterinary Medicine.
Membership in the National Academies of Practice is an honor extended to professionals who have demonstrated excellence in their field and a sustained commitment to advancing interprofessional education, scholarship, research, practice, and policy in support of collaborative, team-based care.
