“With 83.6 percent of the mental health workforce identifying as non-Hispanic White, it’s important to recognize that we can no longer afford the lack of diversity in the counseling field. In a blog post on Psychology Today, Dr. Natalie Cort, Associate Professor in Clinical Psychology, advocated to recommit efforts to continue recruiting and training more individuals from racial/ethnic minority backgrounds in order to build a powerful and diverse mental healthcare workforce.
