Mental Illness and Communities of Color

Mental illness has been found to be frequently stigmatized in the African-American community. William James College student and Coordinator of the Black Mental Health Graduate Academy, Samuel Kwame Dance, sat down with WGBH as a guest on their Basic Black segment to discuss the importance of creating spaces to foster open conversations on mental health in communities of color in order to dismantle mental health disparities and raise awareness.
