Push for prescribing privileges fizzles in Vermont

Idaho recently became the fifth U.S. state to allow clinical psychologists to prescribe medication for mental health disorders. In February, a similar bill was introduced in Vermont’s House of Representatives and failed after being referred to the Committee on Health Care. In an article published by New England Psychologist, Vice President of academic affairs Dr. Stanley Berman commented on how such legislation in a New England state would impact programs and course offerings at William James College.
