Clinical Psychology, PsyD and Neuropsychology Concentration

1) What inspired you to pursue your degree?

“I feel prepared to enter the next phase of my career.” I always knew that I wanted to pursue my education to the fullest. Neuropsychology fascinated me and I wanted to learn more. I applied to William James College because the college was one of the only schools in the area that followed the Houston Conference Guidelines, the specialty training guidelines that govern the field. As a fourth-year student, I am still very passionate about neuropsychology and have loved my clinical placements in the field.

2) Describe your experience at William James College?

The staff and faculty are extremely helpful at William James. The practicum sites available to students are incredible and critical to being a competitive applicant for APA internships. I feel prepared to enter the next phase of my career.

3) What do you envision doing in your career post-graduation?

What I love about psychology is that there are diverse job opportunities for practitioners. After graduation, I would like to become a board-certified neuropsychologist, eventually opening up a private practice. I also see myself teaching and seeing clients for cognitive rehabilitation.
