Leadership Psychology PsyD Checklist
This checklist was developed to assist entering students with their transition to graduate study. Please read it over carefully, and be sure to complete all the items as noted.
You should receive an email from the Information Technology (IT) Department with instructions on how to set up your email and access to all WJC systems. It is important that you set up your email and check it on a daily basis. You should use your WJC email to communicate with the college.
You should receive a welcome email from the Directors of the Leadership Psychology PsyD program, Dr. Brandi Derr and Dr. Suzanne Devlin. This email provides many details such as: reading and preparation materials, upcoming events and what to expect in your first few weeks as a graduate student.
All students will be registered for first semester courses by the OLP Department Coordinator.
Leadership PsyD and Ed Tech Online Orientation course
You will receive access to this online tutorial that introduces the student to the Department and the College’s technologies in Canvas, the Learning Management System used at WJC. You are required to complete this online orientation before attending the program orientation.
The welcome email and the online orientation course will also include the textbook list from the OLP Department. Students may order textbooks online from MBS Direct, William James College’s official textbook store. A link to the bookstore is located on the Library’s website. A majority of required books will also be found on Amazon.com, AbeBooks.com, and Chegg.com.
Fall 2022 orientation is on Wednesday and Thursday, August 24-25, 2022, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM on campus. You are required to attend the full orientation on both days
Start of Classes
Classes start on Monday, August 29, 2022. Make sure to login to Canvas and surf your courses prior to the first day of classes.
