Hi! My name is Caroline Kaye and I am in the School Psychology MA/CAGS/PsyD Program at William James College. I am originally from Weston, MA and attended Brandeis University for my undergraduate career. I chose William James and School Psychology based on my passion for both psychology and education and wanted to find a way to integrate these two areas of interest. William James places a large emphasis on field experience that starts from Day 1 in whatever program you choose. As a result, I have had ample opportunity to work in schools and apply what I have learned from my coursework. While my primary goal is to work as a school psychologist in schools, I also would like to eventually work in clinical settings with children and adolescents as well.

When I am not in classes or at my practicum site, I enjoy working out and spending time with my yellow lab, Halo! A fun fact about me is that I was a rower for 8 years and have rowed in the Boston-based Head of the Charles twice! My advice for first year students is to reach out to your professors and the Academic Resource Center (ARC) for support whenever you need it. Everyone’s ultimate goal is for you to be successful! Also, others in your cohort are going through the same experience as you so connecting and helping each other out can make a huge and positive difference!
