CJ507 provides students with opportunities to practice and refine their crisis response, risk assessment, and clinical formulation skills. The curriculum is highly interactive, rigorously preparing students for acute and dynamic community-based crisis work. This course will increase students' knowledge of on-scene stabilization and clinical decision-making. Using real-life emergency response scenarios, students will be prepared to assess lethal risk and consider several approaches to resolving high-risk incidents. Students will be taught to rapidly interpret challenging and complex behaviors to secure the most appropriate treatment.
