This course provides students with a foundation in how productive research and evaluation questions are formulated, the critical distinction between empirical observation and inference, the types of conclusions that can be drawn from empirical data, and the importance of ethical and cultural considerations in conducting research. The major objective of this course is to teach students how to be discriminating consumers of research. Open only to students in the master’s program in Counseling Psychology or Forensic and Counseling Psychology.
