After a pair of mass shootings in August killed more than 30 people in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, President Donald Trump made comments linking mental illness to mass shootings. However, experts say no such link exists. One of these experts, William James College professor Dr. Robert Kinscherff, spoke with New England Psychologist for an article on the comments.
