These communities are staff and faculty affinity groups linked by a common purpose, ideology, or interest, and they play a vital role in ensuring an inclusive environment where all are valued, included, and empowered to succeed. These communities are voluntary, employee-led, and directed networks that will provide support, advocacy, education, mentoring, and so much more to staff and faculty at William James College.

Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Network

The APIDA Network staff and faculty connect with one another to support one another, empower the APIDA community, and advocate for equitable policies.


Staff and Faculty of Color Network

The Staff and Faculty of Color Network at WJC is a college-wide empowerment, support, and advocacy group; its primary mission is to provide a safe and protective space for staff and faculty of color to congregate.


Black Network

The Staff and Faculty Black Network is a group of Black individuals coming together to connect in formalized spaces of celebration and acknowledgment, discuss shared and unique experiences, and create a platform in pursuit of social justice.


Latinx Network

The Latinx/ Hispanic faculty and staff network offers a relaxed space to build community and to advocate for equitable treatment. Please join us if you identify in any way with your Hispanic/ Latino heritage and regardless of level of Spanish.


Jewish Network

The Jewish Network is a group of Jewish individuals that connect to explore their identity and experience. They build awareness regarding the needs of the cultural community.


LGBTQIA Network

The Staff and Faculty LGBTQIA Network at William James College is a group of faculty and staff who want to provide support for one another, engage in institution wide LGBTQIA+ advocacy/awareness, and plan and present events/initiatives for either purpose.


Community Service and Activity Network

The Community Service and Activity Network is a group of staff and faculty that coordinate volunteer work in the local community.


Women's Leadership Network

The Women's Leadership Network is a group of female identifying employees which advocate for the development of women in the William James Community and beyond.


Parent Network

The Parent Network welcomes parents of all genders, sexual orientations, and family structures, including parents by birth, foster/adoption, stepparents, those who have lost one or more children, and those who are expecting. We discuss the joys and challenges of balancing parenting with WJC careers, share resources, and provide peer support.


Early Career Network

The Early Career Network supports early career staff and faculty, in the workforce or in higher education, by providing resources, connections, mentoring, and professional development.
