The Office of Educational Development and Innovation aims to strengthen WJC's core value of experiential education by promoting inclusive and effective teaching and pedagogical practices to foster student engagement, learning, and success.

Goals

  • Foster a community of learning around the practice of teaching through formative feedback, consultation, open dialogue, and support.
  • Investigate and promote active, experiential, and inclusive methods for teaching by providing meaningful and sustained opportunities for skill-building
  • Promote a scholarly approach to teaching including examining outcomes and impact of specific practices.
